Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Cats

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Cats Are Absolutely Massive

We all appreciate it when game developers allow us to pet animals in-game, but Ubisoft went a step further this time. While in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey you could pet only the animals you’ve tamed, in the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, they let you pick up and snuggle cats. But, they’re not just any cats. Oh, no. They’re the biggest, most ferocious cats you’ve seen in any game. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s cats may look quite normal and cute when on the ground, but when Eivor picks them up, they look as frightening as the assassin himself (or herself, since you can play as both male or female). Seriously, either Eivor has a small head, which is unlikely for a Viking, or the cat is an absolute unit. The latter, however, has a logical explanation.

Unofficially, when asked about these strange beings, Ubisoft claimed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s cats are modeled after the Scottish Wildcats. However, it is unlikely that the wildcat would let you pick it up to pet it, so don’t try this at home! This just goes to show that even fierce warriors such as the Vikings are not immune to the charms of cats and dogs. Letting players pet animals is not however unique to the Assasin’s Creed series, as other games also include the feature. Ghost of Tsushima lets you pet the fox, The Divison 2 allows you to pet the dog, heck, even old Runescape, the MMORPG, lets you pet the stray dog in Varrock.
