Every parent understands how difficult it can be to get kids to eat healthy food. It just looks so unappealing; it’s a wonder anyone can enjoy it. Leah Mohmedi is a food artist who aims to change all of that with her food art, creating incredible edible masterpieces. It’s amazing what Laleh can make out of some pasta, noodles, bread, lettuce, and other simple foods. She takes ordinary ingredients and uses them as a painter would on a canvas. The finished results are portraits of famous characters recreated in a unique – not to mention delicious – style.
The wonderful world of Laleh Mohmedi food art began years ago when she turned her son’s pancake into a lion, which he loved. Since then, her designs have only gotten more interesting and complex. One way that Laleh handles 3D shapes is to use mashed potatoes, combining them with natural food colorings to create pigments. As mouth-watering as these treats are, the food art she shares on Instagram is for entertainment purposes only. Given that these creations can take several hours to complete, it would be a shame to eat them anyway, even if they are tempting.
