We’ve all heard the saying “Like father, like son” and seen many examples of it in real life. Little boys can’t help but emulate their fathers and see them as who they want to be when they grow up. This bond comes through in games of catch, watching TV together, going fishing, and many other classic father and son activities. It’s always such a lovely thing to see and experience. Every so often, though, there comes a bond that is truly special and goes above and beyond the norm. Such as the relationship between Thomas Romain and his son.
Thomas Romain works as a French manga and anime artist living in Tokyo. Romain has worked on several popular series, such as Space Dandy, Symphogear, and Aria. His latest projects involve a lot of input from his son. Thomas and his son work together in the “Father and Sons’ Design Workshop,” where they put together some weird, wacky, and wonderful ideas. The artist adds a bit of professional flair to the doodles and drawings his son comes up with to create stunning anime artwork. These doodles turned anime are fantastic to see, and we can all agree Thomas Romain is a frontrunner for Father of the Year!
